Overview

The Buhler Active Living Centre is a “not for profit” senior’s (55+) community organization governed by a Board of Directors consisting of Government and Community representation from the City of Winkler and the South Central region. It is designed to allow seniors to “age-in-place” in spite of the challenges of life and create an opportunity for nurture in a safe and secure environment in various settings including:

  1. An Active Living Centre creating a social community based on a variety of activities including food services.
  2. Community Living for seniors who need access to care on a twenty-four hour basis.
  3. Affordable Housing for seniors whose income limits access to available housing.
  4. Independent Living for seniors whose resources allow them to access both housing and services they desire in the later stages of life.
  5. This facility also provides them with underground parking which is fully serviced by elevators and security access.

Our Vision is providing a senior’s integrated Community that will meet the changing health and wellness needs of the senior resident. Unique programming will offer independent living and independent living with assistance.

The Buhler Active Living Centre is centrally located downtown in the City of Winkler and is within walking distance of the C.W. Wiebe Medical Centre including a major shopping centre, banking and restaurants. It is also a short drive to the Boundary Trails Health Centre, one of the provinces’ leading health care facilities.

This is retirement living at its finest in a safe and caring environment where you will be able to experience peace and serenity as well as relaxation and privacy of your Suite. When you would like to socialize, step into the beautifully decorated common areas or join in an organized activity.

The Buhler Active Living Centre is an 8 storey building with underground parking, which is fully serviced by elevators and security access. Our beautiful suites feature nine-foot ceilings, large picture windows, and an open floor concept plan that creates a wonderful feeling of space. Residents are encouraged to make full use of the many amenities and services available, allowing them time to focus on activities they enjoy.
